Midweek beauty review!

Since primers were first discovered in the beauty world I was unsure why they were raved about so much. Iv tried a couple of different ones to see what all the fuss was about but they mostly made me break out so I just stopped using them. A few months ago I was picking up some bits from Boots when I came across the New Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer by Maybelline and because I needed something else to get my 3 for 2 offer I decided to add it to my basket. I went ages without using it until recently when I thought id give it a try...

I'm not saying that my skin is completely clear by using this primer but its a lot better than what it is using any other primer! I feel like this really does put a barrier inbetween my face and my foundation but also fills in my pores which makes my foundation glide on so nice and also stays on my face for much longer than what it would without it. The main thing which I love about this product is the feel of it. It comes out looking like a gel but when you rub it into your face its very smooth and feels lovely. The packaging is also a thumbs up as the colours are so cute together and really does catch your eye - definitely wont be losing this in my make up bag!

Zara and Topshop Autumn/Winter Coats!

I seem to have gotten a little obsession with coats. I used to hate wearing them when I was younger but now I look forward to buying new coats which will keep me warm in the colder months and look good also. Iv already seen a few and want them all! If you are like me and think you might get a little carried away this winter then just remember... you can never have too many coats!
I've been looking all over for a good coat but the only shops which have any that I want are Zara and Topshop. Yes they are quite pricey shops but I feel all of these coats will keep you looking good and feeling cosy. As you can see I also have a slight obsession with faux fur...

1: Bleach Denim Jacket, Topshop, £58 - I love the colour of this denim jacket and think it would be great for days where your going out maybe just to meet friends and stay warm but don't want to be wearing a massive parka.

2: Faux leather biker jacket with faux fur collar, Topshop, £58 - I loved this biker jacket so much that I already bought it. whoopsie. But this is great for when it starts to get a bit cooler and for going out.

3: Grey knitted jacket with faux fur collar, Zara, £69.99 - I think this is perfect for everyday during the autumn when its not so cold that you need a massive jacket. I think it looks lovely and would be something that you can throw on with anything.

4: Faux fur trimmed parka jacket, Topshop, £98 - One thing we do need when it gets so cold that we don't wanna leave the house is a massive parka to keep us warm. This one first drew me in because Cara Delevingne was modelling it on the Topshop website and made it look amazing but this will be amazing in the winter and will keep you toasty and warm.

5: Nude pink furry coat, Zara, £89.99 - I can't even describe the love I have for this coat. It's soo soft and fits so lovely. It will look amazing for going out to places which need a little bit more effort.

Autumn/Winter Accessories...

We may have only just got into the month of August but Autumn and Winter are just around the corner and if your like me then you will also be planning outfits and looking at how to look good in the colder months. I'v already bought a couple of things just to be prepared but with the weather still being really hot you just want to send it all back and buy more summer clothes! So because I still want to be productive I've started looking at accessories which I would like and think would look good in the autumn/winter time.

1: Grey knitted turban hat, Asos, £10 - In autumn and winter its either raining, snowing or its just too windy to have perfect hair so this year I'm going to distract the bad hair days with hair accessories and iv never seen anything like this hat before. There's a variety of different colours including black but I think this grey one will go with the majority of outfits and will be perfect for more casual days.

2: Rhinestone Chocker, Topshop, £12.50 - I've seen lots of chockers around but this one is a lot more dressy uppy than the ones I've seen. I think it'll look good on days where your meeting someone special or for going to a nice meal.

3: Honey faux fur snood, Topshop, £25 - I am obsessed with fur this year and want everything that has fur on it but I love this snood - it just looks so soft! but think that it would go lovely with a pair of jeans and a leather jacket.

4: Tartan blanket wool mix scarf, Vivienne Westwood, £185 - This would be a massive splurge but its the nicest blanket scarf which iv seen and I'm sure it would be such good quality. If you can afford it I think this would be great for when the summer is just ending and the cold weather is just starting so you don't need a big coat but need something to keep you warm.

5: Red tartan scrunchie, River Island, £5 - When you need to tie your hair up all the time you will need to give it a boost with the comeback of the scrunchies. This one is perfect for autumn winter time.

6: Black leather look laser cut out scrunchie, River Island, £6 - I think this scrunchie would look good if you were tying your hair up and you were wearing black jeans or a black leather jacket.

7: Black oversized hat, River Island, £28 - Iv seen these oversized hats around since last year and I'm still wanting one. I think they look good on days when you dress up a bit more and would personally wear it with a long black blazer or black duster jacket.

8: Sand shopper bag, Zara, £79.99 - This bag screams autumn winter to me with its light and dark brown shades and I feel like because of this it could go with everything. It looks a good size too so would be perfect as an everyday bag. However the price tag scares me...

9: Black faux fur headband, Topshop, £18 - I think this would look nice when it starts to get really cold and would look amazing if it snowed. Again its fur so I love it and it would keep your ears warm too!

I hope your getting just as excited as I am for autumn and winter now!

Dermalogica Clear Start Skincare Review...

From the age of about 11 or 12 my skin has not been in the best shape and I was unlucky enough to get spots. I'm now 19 and they've still not gone away after many different treatments but I suppose when they're ready to go they'll go!
I know that I won't be able to get rid of them completely on my own but I was looking around different products which may benefit my skin and came across the Dermalogica Clear Start collection. You can buy the products separately or you can buy a kit costing £23.50 and get most of the products which you'll need but in smaller packaging and as I didn't know whether the products would be good to use on my skin I went for this option. I also bought the dermalogica blackhead clearing pore control scrub separately as it wasn't included in the kit. I've been using this kit for nearly a month now and bought another because I'm happy with the results.

I use the foaming wash, the all over toner, the daytime treatment and the matter moisturiser (in that order) in the morning and the foaming wash, the pore control scrub, the all over toner, and the overnight treatment (in that order) at night.
After using the foaming wash I feel like my skin is squeaky clean and definitely freshens up my face, also you only need the smallest amount and it goes a long way.
The toner is in a pump bottle and just makes the experience so much nicer. I feel like this has evened out my skin tone SO much!
I don't know whether the daytime treatment even makes a difference to my face as I never see a big change in my spots throughout the day but the matte moisturiser feels lovely over my face and has definitely made it feel softer.
The pore control scrub helps get the dirt from my make up out of my pores after a long day and feel like its improved my blackhead situation.
The overnight treatment seems to be my favourite as a lot of the time I can see a difference in the morning from the night before.

All of these products have a very clinical smell which may put you off but the smell doesn't last all day. I feel like I've seen a huge improvement in my skin since using these products and people who know me have also said they've seen a difference in my skin. I'm hoping not to stick with this routine for too long as I like to change products now and again but for the time being this is the perfect kit for me and would recommend it to other teenagers who are suffering with spots as the products aren't too harsh on the skin.
